Don’t Assume About Your Target Market
Don’t assume that the people you interact with are not your target audience. You never know who they know, what they know, or what they might need. You might be the solution to their problem and not even know it.
I like to shop for my Mom’s clothes. I also buy clothes for two families with small children. It is fun for me and I like the challenge of finding the right outfits to surprise them.
But if you met me, you might not target me as your buying demographic. That assumption could cost you a sale.
Quick note: Making assumptions about your target market without knowing for sure, or really listening to them could be costly.
Great reminder, Mary. We do tend to make assumptions and miss out on opportunities because of our pre-determinations.
